Would you like to become a Primary School teacher in September 2009?

 

Do you want to be given £4,000 whilst you train?

 

Would you like to train in a small, friendly, supportive environment which has been given a Grade 1 (very good) for Management and Quality Assurance (Ofsted 2005) and for the Quality of Training (Ofsted 2002)

Would you like to gain both a Post Graduate Certificate of Education as well as Qualified Teacher Status in a year? Do you want to train to teach both Key Stage 1 and 2?

 

Would you like to train in a SCITT , which is a School Centred Initial Teacher training scheme, based on a school site in Southampton?

Would you like to train in a small friendly and supportive Christian environment?

 

Would you like to spend 20 weeks out of the 40 week course in school? Would you like to do a PGCE which runs alongside School Terms?

 

IF THE ANSWERS TO THE ABOVE ARE YES:

 

Do you have?

 

An honours degree (Lower second class or above)
Maths, English and Science GCSE grade C or equivalent
Experience of being in an English Primary school

Schools Involved

 

The 26 Schools range from Waterlooville in the east, Bournemouth in the West, to Andover, Basingstoke and Farnborough in the North. They include a number in the Southampton and Portsmouth areas and 5 schools on the Isle of Wight. All schools have to be of the highest standard and are within a 45 mile radius of Southampton.
